Beasley Street has been known by three different names throughout history: Beasley, Beasly, and Beazly Street. This street has been spelled differently throughout history, and in true Cork style, we are the only street in Cork to have two of the three name plates displayed on either end of the street. With ‘Beasley Street’ on the Oliver Plunkett entrance and ‘Beasly Street’ on the South Mall entrance, and Google maps spelling it ‘Beasly Street,’. Come see for yourself and take a selfie beneath your favourite name plate!

Beasley Street is steeped in history, having housed a Turkish Baths, a flour and seed warehouse, and a vintner and coal merchant in the mid-nineteenth century. Beasley Street was originally home to the Triskel Arts Centre and a favourite component of anyone’s cocktail, the Pure Ice Co. and Cold Storage. We look forward to welcoming you to Beasley Street.

Beasley Street, Oliver Plunkett Street, and South Mall are all within a one-minute walk of Cork City Bus Station. The street is spelled ‘Beasly Street’ on Google Maps, and the Maldron Hotel South Mall Sits at the entrance to Beasley Street.
